Top Forbes Highest-Paid Models

How much do Models get paid? It´s a real question and we all thought about it, right? In an interview printed in the October 1990 issue of Vogue, Linda Evangelista said We don’t wake upfor less than $10,000 a day“. The fact is that the most part of the famous models demands huge amounts of money for appearances on the catwalk and for being the face of clothing, beauty or accessory brands. But how much do they earn at the end of each year?

Every year, Forbes puts out their Highest-Paid Models list counting down the top bombshells that put their good looks to work. We know them as being absolutely everywhere, all over Instagram and in every ad campaign possible. So, let´s know these beautiful women and what helped them get here?

Gisele Bundchen is on the top Forbes annual list of highest-paid models, earning $30.5 million within the past year. The Brazilian Supermodel  has been leading the model income ranking since 2002.

The 35-year-old runway legend makes money from fragrances and beauty deals with Chanel, Carolina Herrera and Pantene + advertisements for Arezzo she’s and SkyTV in Brazil. Apart of all this, her own line of lingerie and skincare help her keep the 1st position in the ranking.

The Second position goes to the longest-running Angel in Victoria´s Secret history, Adriana Lima – with a landslide of $20 million. The face of Maybelline, Vogue Eyewear and IWC watches, among others, had reached a total of $10.5 million in 2016.

Kendall Jenner and Karlie Kloss tie for third place after raking in $10 million each. After leaving Victoria´s Secret in early 2015, Karlie Kloss has doubled her earnings. We have seen her in campaigns for brands like Express, L´Oréal or Swarovski. Also she became the face of two fragrances: Carolina Herrera´s Good Girl and Chanel´s Coco Noir.

On the other hand, Kendall was a newcomer in 2015 Forbes list, ranked in 16th place. One year later, she shot up 13 spots to close the top three (her earnings jumped 150% from $4 million). Deals with the cosmetics giant  Estée Lauder and the underwear brand like Calvin Klein, as well as Mango, Marc Jacobs, Fendi, Penshoppe, Karl Lagerfeld and Topshop helped her achieve that extra boost.

New additions to the list include Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, (5th) now the highest-paid British model, and It-girl Gigi Hadid (6th) in fifth place after each earning $9 million in the last 12 months.

Rosie got her earnings from her own lingerie line, as well from Burberry fragrance and clothing advertisements.

Gigi got deals with top retailers like Maybelline /Tommy Hilfiger and got appearances in Evian and BMW advertisements.

7th place goes to Cara Delevingne, who dropped four places in the list, from No.2 in 2015. Despite this, she remained the second most-popular model on the platform.
